Spring Into Neutrals

Spring Into Neutrals

When I was a child, Spring would hit and many parents would immediately dress their children in pastels and other "Easter Dress Inspired" colors. As I got older, I thought of Spring as white jeans, navy striped sweaters and denim jackets, a very "J Crew" look. While this look is a classic and will always be in style, what's on trend currently is Neutrals! I suggest throwing a fun pop of color to spice things up a bit but don't be afraid to rock some simple looks also.

The looks below are to inspire you stock up your closet this season with the latest trends in a neutral color palette.

Black and white striped sweater with denim
Swapping your navy stripes with black stripes is an edgier way to channel that classic preppy J Crew look.

Cable knit dress with sandals

Everyone needs a LBD (little black dress 😉 )! Make sure it has a lot of detail to make it eye catching...a puff sleeve, bow or textured fabric will elevate a more simple look.

Eyelet Midi Dress with Tie Straps

Classic eyelet dresses will always be on trend...baby blue instead of white gives you a new vibe while staying within your neutral boundaries.

Lace sleeve tee with rattan headband
Elevate your denim + white tee look by selecting a tee with some lace on the sleeve. Knot it for a trendier look or add a headband for a preppy look.

Swiss Dot Dress

You can't get more neutral than a tan dress.  This color looks good on all skin tones! Just like your LBD, look for a dress with eye catching details.

Duster Cardigan with Tank and Denim

Last but not least....high waisted denim + white tank + duster cardigan. Simple + can be worn to so many occasions. Dress this look up with jewelry and heels for a night out or swap your denim for some cut-off shorts and RUN, don't walk, to the lake.
